JZMU Held 2025 Academic Seminar on the Prevention and Control of Zoonotic Diseases

In order to promote the development and international exchange and cooperation in the field of zoonotic disease prevention and control, facilitate experts, scholars, and young backbone to share their research results, and build a domestic and international exchange platform for zoonotic disease prevention and control, the academic seminar on zoonotic disease prevention and control and the 2025 Youth Science and Technology Development Special Conference of the Chinese Society of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine’s Animal Infectious Disease Branch were held in Jinzhou from July 25th to 27th. The conference was hosted by Jinzhou Medical University and organized by the Animal Infectious Disease Branch of the Chinese Society of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, the Collaborative Innovation Center for zoonotic disease prevention and control of Jinzhou Medical University, the Biosafety Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Bioengineering, and the School of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine of Jinzhou Medical University.

Professor Zhang Gaiping, academician of the CAE Member, researcher Gao Fu, academician of the CAS Member, director of the Animal Infectious Diseases Credit Association of the Chinese Society of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, and other relevant leaders, experts, scholars, young backbone of scientific research institutes, as well as Professor Qu Wei, president of Jinzhou Medical University, and Professor Jiang Huamao, vice president, attended the meeting.

The conference focused on the theme of “Youth Science and Technology Unite to Build Health Together”. Experts, scholars, and young backbones attending the conference sincerely exchanged ideas and explored new mechanisms, technologies, and achievements in the field of zoonotic disease prevention and control through various forms such as keynote speeches and thematic discussions, focusing on cutting-edge research and domestic and international trends. This effectively promoted disciplinary exchanges, professional integration, and deep thinking, providing valuable opportunities for academic exchanges and career development for young backbones, and further promoting scientific and technological innovation and career development in the field of zoonotic disease prevention and control.
