On November 17th, Jinzhou Medical University held an on-site promotion meeting for the construction of new campus. Li Jinbing, Deputy Mayor of Jinzhou City, Zhang Yongchao, Deputy Secretary General of Jinzhou Municipal People’s Government, principal Wen Deliang, President Qu Wei as well as representatives from various participating units attended the meeting. President Qu Wei presided over the meeting.
The convening of the on-site promotion meeting marks the comprehensive launch of the foundational construction of the new campus at Jinzhou Medical University, which meets the expectations of teachers and students, social attention, and the need for high-quality development of the university. The new campus construction is a major project for the university to provide high-quality services for regional health and economic and social development.
The new campus is located in Binhai New Area, Jinzhou City, with a planned total land area of 851,300 square meters (1,277 acres) and a building area of 423,000 square meters. It is planned to be implemented in two phases. With the design concept of “student-centered” and “one axis, one belt, one ring”, the construction aims to achieve the modern university construction goals of ecologicalization and digitization under the principle of “overall planning, phased construction, and step-by-step implementation”.
