Jinzhou Medical University and Waikato Institute of Technology Held 2025 Annual Meeting of Joint Management Committee & Joint Academic Committee of Sino-Foreign Joint Bachelor’s Degree Program

    On December 9th, the 2025 Annual Meeting of Joint Management Committee and Joint Academic Committee of Sino-Foreign Joint Bachelor’s Degree Program between Jinzhou Medical University (JZMU) and Waikato Institute of Technology (Wintec) was held as scheduled through an online platform. Wen Youfeng, Vice-President of JZMU and, Te Urikore Biddle, Vice-President of Wintec, attended the meeting. Other members of the Joint Management Committee and Joint Academic  Committee also participated in the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Zhu Xiaomei, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Center.


    Wen Youfeng reviewed the fruitful achievements of the two universities in curriculum construction, talent cultivation, teacher training, and other fields, and expressed sincere gratitude to Wintec for its support, trust, cooperation, and professional guidance over the years. To achieve the development goals of stable and far-reaching project implementation as well as improving quality and efficiency, he proposed three proposals to strengthen linkage, optimize cooperation, and standardize management.

    Te Urikore Biddle fully affirmed the effectiveness of the cooperation between the two universities in his speech. She expressed that Wintec was willing to work hand in hand with JZMU to continuously deepen the construction of cooperative education, optimize talent training programs, and promise to provide manpower, technology, resources, and institutional guarantees for the smooth operation of the program and the preparation for program evaluations.

    Members of the Joint Management Committee and Joint Academic Committee of the program conducted in-depth discussions on topics such as talent development plans, adjustments to the members of the two committees, teacher training, mutual visits between the two universities and program evaluation, fully exchanging ideas and reaching consensus. The meeting was efficient and pragmatic, successfully completing all established agenda items.



    Sino-Foreign joint program is a long-standing systematic program. Wintec has a world leading research platform in the field of sports science, while JZMU has unique advantages in the integration of medicine and sports. Both parties expressed the hope that through joint efforts, the program will become a benchmark for China-New Zealand education cooperation and a cradle for cultivating sports and health talents.
