On April 24, the Inaugural Meeting and the FirstCongress of the Federation of Social SciencesCircles were held in the Multi-function Hall of the university library. Guan Ronghui, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairperson of the Liaoning Provincial Federation of Social Sciences, Chen Wensheng, Secretary-General of the Liaoning Provincial Federation of Social Sciences, Jia Wei, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairperson of the Jinzhou Municipal Federation of Social Sciences, along with President Qu Wei, Vice Principal Sun Hongzhi, and Vice President Jiang Huamao attended the meeting. All members of the university’s Federation of Social Sciences participated in the congress. The meeting was chaired by Vice President Jiang Huamao.
In his speech,President Qu Weiwelcomed, on behalf of the university, the leaders from the provincial and municipal federations of social sciences and expressed gratitude to all social science researchers at the university. He stated that the establishment of the Federation of Social Sciences of JZMU is a significant initiative to improve the university's disciplinary system, enrich its humanistic heritage, and enhance its overall capacity. It is also a mission rooted in the university's medical character to serve the healthcare sector and support high-quality regional development.
On behalf of the Liaoning Provincial Federation of Social Sciences, Guan RonghuicongratulatedJZMU on the establishment of its Federation of Social Sciences of and the convening of its inaugural representative congress.
The congress reviewed and approved the "Constitution of the Federation of Social Sciences of Jinzhou Medical University (Draft)" and the "Election Measures for Members of the Federation of Social Sciences of Jinzhou Medical University (Draft)," and elected the first committee members. The first plenary session of the first committee thenreviewed and approved the “Election Measures for the Leadership Body of the Federation of Social Sciences of Jinzhou Medical University (Draft)." President Qu Wei was elected Chairperson of the First Committee of the Federation of Social Sciences of JZMU.
