JZMU Held 2026 Clinical Skills Competition

From June 12thto 14th, JZMU held the 2026 Clinical Skills Competition, with teams from 17 undergraduate clinical medicine teaching bases participating. President Qu Wei, Vice-President Wen Youfeng, heads of the Academic Affairs Office, the First Clinical Medical School (the First Affiliated Hospital), and the Third Clinical Medical School (the Third Affiliated Hospital), as well as team leaders from various teaching bases, observed the competition on site.

This Clinical Skills Competition was centered on the Syllabus for the Clinical Practicing Physician Qualification Examination, testing contestants’ clinical thinking and clinical practical abilities from three aspects: clinical thinking, physical examination, and basic operations. The student competition consisted of individual competitions, team competitions, and AI additional tests.

Since the first Clinical Skills Competition was held in 2011, JZMU has held 15 such competitions. This competition is not only a comprehensive review of all students’ theoretical foundation, operational skills, and overall qualities, but also a concentrated display of the clinical teaching achievements and teaching management levels of various teaching bases. Through the competition, batch after batch of young teachers have grown into clinical teaching backbones, accumulating experience and enhancing their abilities in teaching practice, forming a sound situation of mutual improvement between teaching and learning and positive interaction. Various clinical teaching bases use the competition as a medium to learn from and draw on each other’s experience, continuously updating their teaching concepts and effectively improving the quality of clinical teaching.
