From July 19thto 21st, the 4thAcademic Annual Meeting and the 2ndMember Representative Congress of the Liaoning Provincial Anatomical Society, hosted by the Liaoning Provincial Anatomical Society and undertaken byJZMU, were held in Jinzhou. Vice-President Jiang Huamao attended the annual meeting and delivered a speech.
More than 200 experts and scholars from relevant universities and colleges across the province conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on topics such as the frontier development of the anatomical discipline and talent cultivation. The conference specially invited experts and scholars in the field to give 5 keynote reports and set up 2 parallel session reports. The report contents covered frontier fields such as human specimen ethics and science popularization, aging mechanisms, tissue engineering, tumor research, and AI-empowered teaching reform, comprehensively and from multiple perspectives showcasing the latest scientific research achievements and teaching reform results in the field of anatomy in recent years, which triggered in-depth discussions and widespread resonance among the participants.
During the conference, the 2ndMember Representative Congress of the Liaoning Provincial Anatomical Society was held, successfully completing the re-election work and electing a new council. Professor Wen Youfeng, Vice-President ofJZMU, was elected Chairman of the new council, and Professor Liu Xia, Dean of the School of Basic Medical Sciences, was elected Vice-Chairman, highlighting the industry’s recognition of our university’s strength in anatomical discipline construction and academic influence.
The holding of this annual meeting built a platform for academic exchange and cooperation for the anatomical community of Liaoning Province, consolidated the synergy for the development of the anatomical discipline, and effectively promoted the innovative development of the anatomical discipline across the province and the further improvement of the quality of medical talent cultivation.
